Due to winter weather conditions, Gettysburg School District will start at 10AM tomorrow, Friday October 27th
Kindergartners started their unit on bike riding in PE today. This is a program called All Kids Bike that was started in SD. The goal is to have all Kindergartners riding a bike without training wheels. We start with Strider bikes that will then convert to pedal bikes. The kids are always excited for this unit. Can't wait to see their progress over then next few weeks!

FFA Harvest Days has been postponed to Sunday, November 5th, from 3-5 pm. The Pig Project clean-up will still take place this Saturday at 9:00 AM.

Congratulations to the PC Football team on their big win last night! The Battlers will play next Thursday, October 26th, in Corsica, with a kick-off time of 5:30 PM. Gettysburg students grades 8-12, join us for a night of fun! Spaghetti supper starting at 5:45, swing/line dance lessons at 6:30, dance starts at 7:30 Friday, October 27th, in the old gym. Supper is $10 each, supporting the senior class. Admission to the dance is 3 canned food items or $5.

The 3rd graders found themselves stuck in a Haunted House today!
To escape they had to collaborate with their group members to solve 5 different ELA based challenges. The challenges included reading passages, true and false statements, context clues to solve definitions of unfamiliar words, crossword puzzles, inferring, and completing charts.
They all made it out in the nick of time to enjoy an extra recess!

For Art this week Mrs. Hansen's 3rd Grade class helped to decorate the bulletin board in the lunchroom for Red Ribbon Week. This runs October 23-31 to bring awareness to keeping kids drug free.
The 3rd graders have "A Minion Reasons to be Drug Free!"
Silent Auction will end at 6:30. All winners please take your items prior to attending the game. The commons area will not be open to pick up items after the game. Thank you!
Parents Night is tonight at 6:45pm. Parents please gather on the north end of the track. All students that have HS jerseys, cheerleaders, statisticians and coaches will be announced and walk out on the field. 6th and 7th grade football players will be in the program, but WILL NOT be announced or walk across the field.
