MS Girls Tourney Saturday details

5th grade got in the holiday spirit yesterday decorating their Gingerbread Houses. This is one of my favorite creative writing lessons! Make sure you check out their masterpieces in the commons at the elementary Christmas concert on Friday.

From Dakota Sunset Museum:
The Middle School Student Council did some volunteer work last week at the museum. They helped haul out and decorate some trees to get ready for the Christmas Tree Extravaganza. Thank you Middle School Student Council! We appreciate your help!

Thank you to Officer Shiann for volunteering her time to teach another great group of 5th grade D.A.R.E. Graduates!

The 2nd 9 weeks Elementary Student Council added some winter fun to the windows and doors. They did a great job! We can all enjoy the pictures before we head out into the cold!

The boys basketball game at Northwestern on December 15th now includes a C game, starting at 5pm, rolling schedule, with B and A to follow

Congratulations to Tanner Eide for competing in Harrisburg's State Oral Interpretation Festival this past Friday! He has done pieces in the Storytelling category all four years of high school. Great job Tanner!

Don't forget to join us for a fun night for a great cause!

Part 2- 3rd Grade Dioramas

Today the 3rd Graders presented their first book reports and did a fantastic job!
Students created Dioramas to depict a scene from their novel, which was required to be at least 75 pages long. Students were given 3 weeks to work on the project. Many students created these visions through the authors words and descriptions.
In class students wrote a 3 paragraph summary of the story using a graphic organizer, creating a rough draft, and finally a final draft.
Excellent job 3rd graders! 👏🏼
Come check them out in person as we will have them on display through next Friday during the Christmas concert.
Part 1

All Kids Heart Challenge money is DUE TOMORROW! If possible, please convert all cash to a check made out to AHA or put online. Reminder that any student who has raised $200 or more ONLINE, will get to do a special surprise. As of today, our school has raised $7,721.81. Way to Go Elementary Kids!!

With the holidays approaching, the K-8th graders display decorated Christmas trees in the commons area. We are in need of two or three 4-5' trees. If anyone is interested in donating a used tree, we would greatly appreciate it. Also, if anyone has any working Christmas lights, we could use these as well. Items can be dropped off at the school. Thanks!

Due to student absences, there will only be one MSBGG game tonight, November 30th in Mobridge. Start time is 5pm, CST, with 6-minute quarters.
