The 5th grade class bundled up and spent their Halloween morning visiting the West Whitlock Salmon Station to learn all about spawning. Special thanks to the Game, Fish, and Parks, and West Whitlock Recreation staff for sharing your knowledge and inspiring young learners.

Jenn Jager was a mystery reader in the kindergarten class today, keeping up an annual tradition that started when her daughter, Megan, was in the class- currently a junior. She read How to Catch a Monster and The 13 Days of Halloween. She also brought an early treat for the class. Thanks, Miss Jenn!

"Good witch" Marsha Osier came to visit the Kindergarten class as a Mystery Reader. She read two books: Ten Timid Ghosts and The Little Old Lady Who Wasn't Afraid of Anything. She also brought some early Halloween treats for the kids- delicious sugar cookies and Halloween pencils. Marsha has been an annual visitor to the Kindergarten class ever since her granddaughter, Jayla (now in 5th grade) was a Kindergartner. What a fun visit! Thanks, Marsha!

National First Responders Day is tomorrow. Some of the MS Student Council members delivered goodies to local law enforcement today. They also made goodies for the EMT's for their meeting last week and for the firefighters Monday night. We appreciate everything our first responders do for our community! Thank you!!

Kindergartners started their unit on bike riding in PE today. This is a program called All Kids Bike that was started in SD. The goal is to have all Kindergartners riding a bike without training wheels. We start with Strider bikes that will then convert to pedal bikes. The kids are always excited for this unit. Can't wait to see their progress over then next few weeks!
