3rd Graders in Mrs. Hansen's class have been observing Tenebrio Life Cycles and the process of metamorphosis that they go through to turn into Darkling Beetles. Students were surprised on Day 22 with some pupas transitioning to the adult form!
We are excited to offer a local transition event for our students with disabilities, and their families. Our surrounding communities and schools are welcome and encouraged to attend. This event is sponsored by the Gettysburg School District and South Dakota Parent Connection. It will be offered to students grade 8 through students in our 18-21 program. The evening session is for parents and will be targeted towards the same age range. If your student does not fall into the age range, you are welcome to attend to prepare for the future. Reminder: The MS/HS VB games vs. Faulkton will be played in Hoven tomorrow, Thursday, September 12th. The 1st MS game starts at 4:30pm, followed by 2nd MS game, JV and Varsity.
The schedule for the MS/JV Battler Jamboree scheduled for Saturday, September 14th in Gettysburg is posted on Facebook. Admission is $3 for students and $5 for adults.

This summer Ava Robbennolt completed 6 weeks of radiation treatment at Mayo Clinic. This was once a day Monday through Friday, which meant the entire family was uprooted to Minnesota for the summer. This Friday they put all those changes and challenges to the test as Ava has her first scans.
In support, the Gettysburg Elementary Student Council encourages students, staff, and the community to wear their Ava’s Army shirt or the color Purple to help send her off on Thursday September 12th!

Senior Parents: A reminder that Gettysburg High School will host a Financial Aid Information Night for parents and residents of the surrounding community THIS Tuesday, September 10, 6:00-7:00 pm in Room 203 (next to the business office). Seniors do not need to attend as they will hear the same presentation during the school day in the near future.
